I would like to welcome you to the website of St. Mary’s Primary School, Trim, Co Meath. We are a Roman Catholic primary school under the
patronage of the Bishop of Meath.

St. Mary’s is an innovative and progressive school which draws on the
combined talents and skills of pupils, staff,
parents and the local community, to provide a holistic education for the pupils in our care.

We are very fortunate to have an extremely dedicated Board of Management, staff and supportive parent body. The website focuses on the work and activities of the children but also has  up to date information on our policies and
procedures.  I hope that our website gives you a flavour and snapshot of our school and that you find it useful.

Children should line up the yard and wait for their teacher.

For the first few days, parents with children in Junior Infants may bring their child to their line in the yard. Encourage them to line up independently. It is a new, exciting time for your child.

For the first 2 weeks school will finish at 12pm for Junior Infants.

After the first 2 weeks, school finishes at 1.50 pm for Junior and Senior Infants.

Parents must collect their child from the external classroom door. External doors are marked with the classroom number. The teacher will release the children to parents/guardians. 

Please let your child's teacher know via email if your child will be collected by bus/childminder/afterschool.

*For the first 2 weeks school finishes at 1.50pm for the children in 1st class.

After the first 2 weeks, school closes at 2.50pm for children in 1st -6th.

Shoes with velcro are best for Junior Infants as they are quick and easy to put on and off independently.

Please label everything!

Children from Senior Infants to 6th class wear PE tracksuit on PE days and the blue uniform on other days. Your child's teacher will tell you what days PE are on in September.
