Basically, this course involved a bit of algebra and calculus, but without the difficult parts.. hehe...😜 This course is more toward testing your logical thinking on combinatorics and geometry. It's testing mine too...It was not supposed to be too hard, I think..but Im sorry if the  assessments were quite difficult..🙏🏻 Don't worry,  your final will be easier, I guess... 😬I hope you can score for that!!! The most exciting part teaching this course is seeing the applications in our real life and how mathematics can be apply to solve the problems... Personally since this semester I'm taking both discrete Mathematics and fluid mechanics as my mathematics subjects, comparatively this subject is much better than the other one. Just like others' opinion, I prefer live class over prerecorded I guess, well at least for my self-discipline sake. I tend to forget following up the class every week. I'm so sorry dr, hope you forgive me ('_') blame for my laziness and procrastination.

Well.. i did! 😂 
Nevertheless, this course was an enjoyable course for me this semester and since I consider myself as a slow learner, I’m grateful for the prerecorded lecture bcs i can repeat them as many times as i want like nobody’s business 🤣

The topics went deeper into combinatorics and geometry — steps to solve by using theories here and there. Tho i kinda screwed my test 1 (sorry Dr. for disappointing you), i still look forward to the lecture videos and tutorial questions excitedly — meaning that it’s not that hard, it just requires you to apply and think harder, which is fun and challenging but not to the point you feel like giving up :,)

What makes it even better is that we had a very helpful lecturer that guided us steps by steps, patiently 💪🏻 thank you Dr. Farwina! May Allah ease your journeys in the future 🤍

My batchmates, we may have the tiniest chance to meet again but hang on in there, give your very best for your future and may this pandemic come to an end soon. In case you didn’t notice, each of you have done so well for yourself up till today. Be proud! Thank you for the memorable years 🤍

I must say Dr Farwina made this course a lot easier for me. Dr's teaching were elaborated and systematic. The best part was the lecture notes. I insist it was so good to have such organize learning materials. The lecture notes made my learning process smooth. I wished we had face to face classes.

For my experience while enrolling for MSS418, I was a little bit afraid to face it at first because my friend who took this course before said it is a little bit hard to understand but I continue to take it anyway, just wing it I guess >,< and upon almost finishing it, it became one of my favorite subjects. Dr. Farwina changed my perspective, in a good way, as I am enrolling in this course. It is a fun and enjoyable course! It would never occur to me how discrete math can also be applied to so many things in real-life problems.

For my course mates, good luck with your final soon! Also, praying for everyone’s success upon finishing degree soon! For juniors, do not give up easily if you feel like it’s hard to go on. First of all, if I were to compare this subject with Introduction to Analysis, I would say that this course is very easy🤣 However, even though its not as hard as Introduction to Analysis, I need to work hard or study hard to achieve an A for this subject. Why? Because my test 1 result says it all😂

I find out that I am not a discipline person. I procrastinate, procrastinate, and continue to procrastinate. That is why online learning is not for me. I prefer f2f even though I am the “malas nak pi kelas” person. But I rarely skip classes 🤪 so, maybe to improve this course is to have live lectures. And record the class to upload so that student who don’t pay much attention during the class can watch it again hehe. But, I’m hoping covid go away and juniors can take this class f2f!!

Learning Experience:
When I first heard abt this course - Discrete Mathematics - I was like, "Oh, sounds easy :D". During our first class, Dr also confirmed my assumption, "This course is easy, many students can score". While learning with Dr - during classes - I also feel like "Oh, it's easy, no worry, I'm happy :D". But some questions in tutorial have its own level - easy, medium, hard - which is standard. But the hard part when Dr discussed in our class, everything would be so clear. I really like Dr's explanations. Very very clear to me :D. But then there's a Test. While answering, I was like "Easy? What's that?🤔" lol. This course is easy but it's also easy to make mistakes. So, be careful, never take anything for granted, don't let your guard down and you will ace your test/exam🤝. 

Suggestion
We have both recorded lectures + live classes for discussion session. To be honest, I really prefer recorded lectures because I can pause whenever I need to load (or whenever I couldn't catch up😓). Also, I can watch the videos repeatedly compared to having live classes. But having live classes is still good too because, whenever we have any doubt and would like to ask some questions, we can ask right on the spot. So both are good actually. But my suggestion is, maybe Dr can record our live classes too so that whenever we want to revise, we can rewatch the videos again. Plus, there might be some connection problems during live classes so it would be nice to rewatch the videos again so that we wouldn't miss anything.

Before this semester start, I thought that this subject is quite easy. But after a few weeks joining the class, I could see that what I have imagine is totally wrong! Hehe.. This subject is quite though actually and test 1 was really really hard (for me haha) but it can be really interesting especially when doing the assignments. I can find a real life problems that relate with this subject, and it helps me to understand more about discrete math. 
During this hard time, everything seems complicated for me. I really struggle to finish this semester. A lot of problem arises but I manage to encounter it.
I want to express my gratitude to Dr. Farwina for her great performance and effort, recorded the video, prepare all the materials and always entertain me when I text her at night. Thank you soo much Dr.!

Personally, I really enjoyed learning discrete mathematics as my core subject this semester because it was fun to learn, easy to understand and the lecturer too was very helpful in explaining tutorial QS during class😘😘
There are also many theories that you need to understand well in the subject and yet their applications that need to be solved step by step. 

I think Dr. should consider holding a live class because a live class would be much better for a slow learner like me😅😭. I also was unable to follow up on the prerecorded lecture on time. But I really enjoyed watching and taking notes from the prerecorded too since it was easy to understand and the slides are very interesting as well.

My first impression for this course is, it was quite easy to learn and understand. The topics are interesting and can be digested if you (read: students) were giving 100% focus in recorded lectures & tutorial discussions. And at first I targeted to get A-, but then everything changed when Test 1 attacked T_T. Either the questions were hard, or I was not brilliant enough to understand the question. Hopefully Test 2 would be able to cover up my "less intelect moment" during Test 1.

Anyway, I learnt new and interesting topics throughout the semester with Dr Farwina. Only that I was that kind of student tend to procastinate to watch the recorded lecture videos you uploaded for us huhu. So, as a suggestion, for the future generations to not procastinate like me (not proud of this), it would be better if Dr switches alternately between live lectures and recorded lecture videos. Maybe the first week is live lecture, the second week is recorded video, and so on.

As to my friend, Aqmar, who is also my loyal and faithful partner for two assignments of MSS418. Thank you for accepting me as your partner to accomplish the tasked assignments. Hope you are satisfied with our works hahah. To the others, thank you. As we never met real life throughout the course, so I do not have much to say XD. Just that I wish we could meet when the time comes (graduation day).

Lastly, to Dr Farwina. Thank you for every single lesson you have taught me, from the first week up until the presentation sessions. Thank you for your patience, your passion and your determination to make me, and my friends as well, to  understand every single topic in this course. My experience in learning this course is "practice makes perfect". For a slow learner likes me should be more proactive in order to achieve the best results. I had learned how to create a problem into real life application from the given subtopics. 

Students are also able to turn subtopics into very interesting problems and presentations.
Actually, this course could be more easier if you have your enthusiasm throughout studying it. 

Dr. Farwina who is a very cool lecturer and really helps her students make this class more interesting. Thus, to all juniors no need to be shy if you want to ask her about your difficulties.
My suggestion for this course is Dr maybe should include quizzes  for the coursework since test 1 is harder than test 2 huhuhu.. 

I really like to thank Dr Farwina for being kind and patient to us during the whole semester.  I wish to see Dr in person with all friends one fine day (may the dream comes true). 
I also want to say thank you those who always help me to understand this course. Although some of us might not know each other well but I am really glad to be part of this Mathematics' family. Lastly, I would like to apologize to Dr and all of my friends for my wrong doing.

I would also like to thank Dr Farwina for her course delivery. The course contents, slides, prerecorded lectures and languages used are easy to understand. The only thing is, like what the others said, maybe a live class will be more effective for students to gain an even better understanding. Since students (including myself) tend to procrastinate, I think maybe Dr can choose to do prerecorded lecture with a (simple) task for each lecture, so that students are forced to watch them and complete the tasks given on time. To me, that is pretty effective haha.

All in all, I want to thank Dr Farwina again for guiding us throughout this semester.💐 It is not easy to prepare the prerecorded lectures too I guess. And thank you all my fellow coursemates, it's sad not to have f2f lectures together in the DK. But I still wish all of you best of luck in final and all the best for the future! So far the course for me has been quite elementary. The only challenge I have is to juggle between different courses and that I admit is my own personal issue.
