although i think it would be best to keep things monochromatic, i think its best to add colour to the “higher being” kind of characters to show their superiority over faustus — kind of like how in ancient rome only the emperor was allowed to wear purple — higher stationed characters have more colourful designs to show importance

these paintings look pretty oily and runny, i think it would be cool to incorporate this into our designs with the masks in some way to really create an uncomfortable, unique style for each sin. i was thinking this style might look best for the greedy sins like gluttony and covetousness , perchance?

shadows can be really dark and unsettling for viewers sometimes, especially when they have a humanoid stature. it will create an uncanny valley effect where the viewer sees something human but knows it's not.

It tends to get dark when lighting and a storm form this could represent the sins becoming angry.

we can create the effect of some sort of ethereal essence with dance and the use of different fabrics and colours the seven deadly sins could use, or maybe just to represent what the characters trait is

i.e: Lust/Lechery - red (as shown in the image) to show lust, especially if they are dancing around to show that flirty behaviour

gluttony - maybe some sort of table cloth tucked into their shirt like a bib

greed - a cape with fur like a king/queen would wear, or maybe a purple robe with a golden wreath and a golden goblet in their hand if were going back to that inspiration from ancient rome

sloth - black/brown-ish colours

wrath - instead of red like lust we could use yellow and black like a wasp to signify danger

envy - i just associate envy with the colour purple, teal, or green

pride - could also be associated with gold
