The journal does state that most of the parents do show a feeling of wanting to support but the fact is that study states that the knowledge they have about college well allow them to be supportive in productive way also states that their pool of subjects are going show more interest in their kids' education because they showed up to this Workshop. Throughout all of the sources one big thing that effects these students is the culture barrier they have and how that makes it hard for them to feel like they belong in certain setting or that they are understood by their peers and teachers. Reyna had this feeling Mutiple times where she did not feel understood by her peers and teachers for example teacher not understanding her work. (Grande.34)

Many articles state how college is just a difficult process that people choose to go through all of these articles agree that college is hard, but they show how these students have the ability succeed just like any student they just need some assistance to do this.

Many groups go through unnoticed and face unique challenges one group is First generation immigrant college students they face unique challenges in school that most students do not adding to the fact that higher education is hard as it is though most college students struggle through their college experience many first generation college students have a harder time.
