What is climate change?

climate change is long term changes in weather temperatures and or weather patterns. Humans and our activities have been the main effect of climate change, like: burning of fossil fuels like coal, oil, and gas. Burning things like this creates gas emissions and is effecting our earth. climate change can effect our health, ability to work, food and water, housing, and saftey.

the ocean is so polluted with stuff that the ocean is 46,000 percent pollued there so much plastic at the top of it just sitting on the top and there way more on the bottom of the ocean and it doesnt

It explains how climate change was started and gives you examples on the issues like: farmers and indigenous people having to leave their lands, schools close and students fail in education, food and water shortages and etc.

more than 70 percent of our planet, oceans are among the earth’s most valuable natural resources. They govern the weather, clean the air, help feed the world, and provide a living for millions. They also are home to most of the life on earth, from microscopic algae to the blue whale, the largest animal on the planet. Yet we’re bombarding them with pollution. By their very nature—with all streams flowing to rivers, and all rivers leading to the sea—the oceans are the end point for so much of the pollution we produce on land, however far from the coasts we may be.

What are some solutions to climate change?

There are many solutions to climate change, but our countries and communities aren't really acting on them. Some solutions are: Cutting emissions, adapting to climate impacts, and financing adjustments, changing things over to solar powered (which a lot of people are doing to their houses now and it could be a big help)

Why is this an important issue?

Climate change is a very very important thing for students and everyone to know or learn about. Because its not just effecting one country or some people, its effecting the entire world and if people don't work towards solutions it could just get much worse. Nothing will change without humans changing it, and we have multiple resources to do it.
