I was 4 years old when I went to my first ever haunted house. As we entered the tall leaning building, the dim lights flickered, and the jet black walls which were covered with black cloth were adding a touch of darkness to the entire room. The hallway kept going on and on. With each step I took, the floorboards groaned under the pressure of our weight. There was fake red blood dripping down the walls, broken skulls laying everywhere. spiders, and white webs hanging everywhere. I knew it was all fake but I couldn't help letting out a tiny whimper of fear. Trying to grab my mom arms, as I frighteningly walked.and walked. Everything seemed so real, so detailed, and so scary. I let out a huge sigh of relief, when we finally found the exit. We were hitting my the autumn wind, but it never felt better. It was a scary experience for little me, even though it was all fake.

It was the last day of 5th grade, though we didn't know it. Our last day of normal school, was filled with excitement and happiness. All through out the day something fun happened, almost every 5th grader was wearing a school t-shirt. It was an amazing day! It was our turn to do the program. It was a bit different than any other program we had have. Though even we didn't know it would be the last day of school for us, it was a very memorable on for me. It was a great memory to have.

I read the passage trying to make my voice sound clear, and adding expression. The words flowed out of me mouth, and I was attempting to produce all the harder words. I was doing fine, until I got to the questions.

I breezed through most of the questions, the is until the very last ones. Tell me what time does this take place? The question read, I frantically searched the passage, I looked at every word, none told me what the time was. Finally my teacher told me it was in the second paragraph. I nodded and wrote it down, my cheeks flushed.

The next question, was more difficult. What does ironic mean? I knew this, I read the sentence with ironic in it. He smiled, and ironic smile. I blanked, though later on I figured it meant, something like sarcastic, or irony. I shook my head a bit embarrassed as we moved on to the next passage.

"Abigail?" A woman asked. I raised my hand, she smiled and motioned my to follow her. We walked down a long hallway, and she told me to wait at the door. I nodded, and glanced at the colorful decorated door, while twisting my fingers. Finally a boy came out, and they let me in. I was a bit blinded by the very bright room. Blinking, I made my way to the piano. They told me to start whenever I was ready, this was a big time for me. I inhaled, and began playing. I practiced for many weeks, I kept playing the, rhythm caught on.

I tried my hardest, until the very end my thumb slipped, and landed on a wrong note. It was a quiet note, but still a important one. The judges furiously wrote many things down, and after awhile of just awkwardly sitting there. The thanked me, and allowed me to leave.

Over the next few days, all I thought about was the festival. On my piano class, my teacher gave it to me. I held my breath, as I slowly opened. I quickly scanned it looking for the grade. A circle was around Superior, I let out a sigh of relief. It felt like a ton of bricks were lifted off my shoulders.

We raced down the gravel filled hiking trail. The crunch of the leaves below us, and the cool air as we ran down the path. We crossed a mini river, and stepped on the stones the were scattered everywhere to get to the other side. It was sunny, filled with lavenders, grass, rocks, and streams of water.

The streams of water were cold and clear. Bees, and even some butterflies fly by, as the landed on all sorts of flowers. We found rocks that you could even write with, and some cacti, they were small, with very tiny needles. I got splinters. Sticks you could use a pencil, and red grass, lavenders, blue flowers, and many many other things. We discovered a little hideout, and my friend even named a mountain and a stream.

Us, and our siblings had fun. We discovered many cool things, it was a fun time. Though very tiring a the end.

The sound of the car's engine roared, as we all crowded into the van. For the next hour there was only chattering, the trees that were towering over the car, and the soft humming of the powerful engine. After a long time we arrived at the farm, which had crops as far a one could see.

Fields, and fields of all kinds of fruit were scattered everywhere. Vines were all over the metal support beams the held the fruits. A soft gentle gust of wind blew the vines. Though the hot sun shined down on us, it was still a bit chilly.

All was silent as we took in the fruit, the silence, and the ever so beautiful farm. Finally we grabbed some baskets, and started picking some ripe, fresh fruit. As the only sound was the plop of the fruits going into the growing baskets.

We put our binders back on the shelf. saying good-bye. Me and some others grabbed our stuff, and raced back to our classroom. Every week we went through this, grab our stuff then make make turns, to meet our class for lunch. By the time we got there, we were out of breath, had to drop our stuff, and race to the cafeteria.

Once we were so late, we had to speed walk down the hallways. We bumped into things, trying not to mess anything up. We carried water bottles, pencil pouches, and more. I could hear some behind me, trying to catch their breath, While others dashed in front, hungry needing to get to lunch. You could hear our water bottles, banging against our knees, and us trying not to run too fast. Every week it was the same, grab, run, turn, drop, grab, and finally eat. Though it was tiring, it made lunch seem even better.

I was in preschool, when it happened. In our classroom, which had the alphabet across the room, against the tan walls. Small tables with small chairs, it was a small but great little classroom. One day we were practicing pronouncing words, like animals and plants. Really simple ones. The teacher was going around calling all of us. She showed us a picture, and then you had to say what is was. It was my turn, she showed me a picture of a tree, filled with bright green leaves, and a large trunk.
"Tree." I said, then I realized I had pronounced it wrong, it sounded like three. My classmates looked at me strangely.
"No, tree!" I corrected, my teacher nodded, and continued on. Even though I had fixed it, I was still shocked and a bit embarrassed of my 5 year old self. That I had miss pronounced, a very simple word like tree.

I found my niche when I was bored. I was about 5 almost 6 years old, It was quiet around the house, so I decided to go the extra room we had in our house. Inside it had two huge desk, and two bookshelves. The bookshelves were packed with book, all different sizes. I picked one that was slimmer than all the others. I sat down on a comfortable chair, and began to read.

I read for hours until I stopped. After that I read every single, and started to love writing stories too. That was the time, that I discovered my love for reading and writing. Two things I think I'm really good at, and two things I'm passionate about. That was the time I discovered my niche.
