For the beginning, air pollution is one of the environmental problems. It usually occurs when we burn fossil fuels, leaked gases from industries and factories. This air pollution can cause acid rain, ozone depletion, and increasing risk of skin diseases. Scientists even speculated that air pollution may cause extreme global warming, which can lead to evanishment of atmosphere layers. Even though this is only theoretical yet, it already happened on Venus.

 Nextly, water pollution is another well-known example of environmental problems. Agricultural runoff containing pesticides and fertilizers, human wastes are the main cause of this pollution. This can trigger problems like increasing toxic chemicals in the water like mercury. Thus, it is also known to disturb marine animals’ food chains which can end up by extinction of one marine species.

 Lastly, radioactive pollution can be a problem, too. Radioactive chemicals like Nitrogen Acid can be absorbed into the plants and people who consume that plant can finally be damaged. Also, things like nuclear rockets can fill our body with toxic chemicals and this is extremely detrimental to our body.

 Any solutions for these problems? There are many ways to improve this pollution but most people do not actually care about it. Of course, awareness of the environment has been raised between people but it’s still not enough to change the world.

 First of all, we should support local & environment friendly products. Let me explain with the distribution channel of bananas. They usually don’t grow in cold regions. Therefore, people who live in cold regions but want to eat bananas should get it from the market. Bananas in the market are from the warm regions. However, to move these mass amounts of bananas, companies should use transportations to lift it to the target area. However, during this process, an enormous amount of gas is emitted. However, when we use local markets, we don’t have to worry about these problems. Also, GMO (Genetically Modified Organism) foods can be consumed as an alternative. If you are worrying about the safety, you can eat foods similar to it.

 Second, we should impose carbon taxes. Our behaviors to pursue a comfortable life can emit carbon. But when we impose taxes on them, we can be aware of it and also can attempt to decrease its amount. 

 Third, develop sustainable business. Some businesses, like Patagonia, Interface and IKEA assert their motive or goal as sustainable growth with the environment. They emphasize that they use eco-friendly methods during making products. This can actually benefit the environment and can also enhance their business image. For another example of sustainable business, there are better products related to the environment. Lab-grown meat, vertical farms are examples of these sustainable products.
