Explanation: Walter and Ruth were talking in the kitchen. Ruth was trying to give Walter his breakfast and get him out of the house to go to work but all he wanted to do that morning was talk. Ruth kept telling him that he needs to eat his eggs and get to work. Walter prosded to talk to Ruth when she told him again to leave.

The theme dreams and the the quote Walter said to Travis. “Just tell me where you want to go to school and you’ll go. Just tell me, what it is you want to be—and you’ll be it…Whatever you want to be—Yessir! You just name it, son… and I hand you the world!” The quote and the theme go together because in the quote Walter tells Travis that he can be anything he dreams of being.
