the bank of Canada website has a wide verity of information when it comes to exchange rates. It shows what the Canadian dollar exchange rates are daily, monthly and annually.it also has an exchange converter to show how much each countries dollar converts to Canadian, which is super helpful when you are planning to travel on a budget.
Something i found interesting about this website was, it has a exchange rate RSS feed you can subscribe to, to get daily information and updates about the exchange rates. i chose this website due to its amount of information in one website.

How & Why Oil Impacts The Canadian Dollar (video #2)

This YouTube video is sort ans sweet what it comes to explain the way Canada's exchange rate is effected by the oil we produce for the rest of the world, mostly the United States. It explains that we are the number 1 import to the U.S with our oil.
I enjoyed this video because it explained the concept in a way a lot of people could understand. something i found different about this video is that is that it explained how countries bid for our oil, up bidding each other to get more and more, and that is why the prices go up and down and when it does it affects the exchange rates.

Imports, Exports, and Exchange Rates(video#1)

The exchange rate is well explained in this video, to sum it up, this YouTube video explains how the exchange works and why so many things are made from out of Canada/USA. Workers in other countries have different pay than we do, therefore it makes it cheaper to produce so many products in places like china. It talks about imports and exports with other countries, and also explains the World Trade Organization. One example that stood out to me was the topic of TVs, a Canadian/American made TV would cost around $700 to buy, but since the china made TV was produced cheaper, it would only cost about $500. people are more likely to chose to save the $200 over a Canadian/American made TV.
This video was different then others because it went into detail because specific things that everyone can relate to,while also explaining important thing that everyone should have some knowledge on. I chose it because everything made scene to me but if it didn't, they went into more detail to make it simple.

1. What did you learn about your topic that surprised you the most? The thing i learned about my topic that surprised me the most was the exchange rate in some counties doesn't change daily like most do. I thought they would all change frequently, but turns out not all do.
2. Provide a real-life example of how this topic is relevant or interesting
for you.
This topic was most interesting to me because i travel a lot with my family, most of my family live in the US, and the exchange rate right now blows my mind because of the amount I pay in Canadian in return for so little in American. When I last traveled to the States i had $300 Canadian to exchange and i got back $230.
3. If you could pass on your knowledge to a family member or friend, what
do you think is the most important thing to pass on?
The most important pass on this topic would be to calculate the exchange rate before you travel, some places rates or so expensive compared to Canada, so maybe think about exploring your own country because traveling else where.

This video is all about the main factors that influence the exchange rate. Those are; differentials in infatuation, differentials in interest rates, current account deficits, public debt, terms of trade, political stability and economic performance.
I chose this video because it packs a lot of information into a short time, making it easy for someone to learn from, a video does not have to be long to get a point across. Everything in this video gave me a better understanding about how the exchange rate works. The one thing that stood out to me was the way he explained differentials in inflation, with the balloons made it easy to follow along.

This articular is all about how this Covid-19 is effecting our dollar. in summary, our dollar is weakening because no one is spending, less investors throughout the country because of the scare from the corona virus. Interest rates are lowering in order to help Canadians through this time. Canadian currency hit its a nine month low. The price of oil is now 1.9% lower at $45.90 a barrel.
I chose to use this website/articular because in the times we are in right now, our currency is lowering and its scary for everyone in Canada, and everyone around the world really. I found that the whole articular was useful and i learned a lot about how this virus is effecting Canada.
