I can relate to this scene because One time my cousin was playing on a motorcycle and it went and slammed into a wall which made him start bleeding badly, and it happened in front of me. She seems really real and talks about how she feels and what she sees, which really helped me understand the story well. Throughout the story I don't connect that well with the main character because she is going through something crazy that would never happen to me. But sometimes I can connect to her as we would make the same choices in some situations.</div>]]></description>

Once you turn 16 you have to take a test and it determines which faction you live in then you pick.&nbsp;I am wondering why your parents are going to disown you if you pick a different faction. The way that Esperanza's friend says her face is ugly and fat when she comes to school in the morning is very hurtful, and she doesn't laugh about it either, which tells me its not a joke. The phrase "the blood drained from her face" shows us how lifeless she looked walking up to the stage. This affects the story because Katniss did not want her sister to participate in the games, so she volunteered in place of Prim. Making her one of the contestants to participate in a deadly game.</div>]]></description>

From this we can see how the capitol is very elegant, and has a ton of money, while people in district twelve are starving. The capitol wants to make the contestants look nice on TV like a&nbsp; movie. While their actually sending them to kill each other. Katniss feels very uncomfortable, because their cleaning her up, which she didnt even ask for. This affects the story because we can see how the capitol is a very powerful place, and they dont care about others.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

I learned that life fighting in the arena is hard with little food and supplies. I am wondering about how the game makers can kill people instantly with no regrets. This impacts the characters because only one person can live out of the 24 contestants, making it hard for Katniss and Peeta to survive. </div>]]></description>
