Semantic encoding: This concept means to put the short term memory into the long term memory by constantly rehearsing. In this situation, Victor goes to the chess club everyday, and he keeps generating new memory into his mind, then by constant practicing, his short term memory become long term, and he will never forget how to play chess.

Mnemonics: This concept means to remember things using special techniques such as the peg word system. For example, we can use the first letter of a group of words and put them together to remember some things relating to each other. Victor remembers which character to use first and next in order to win the game. He might use the starting letters of the character to remember the sequence. Thus, he can win the game and learn from his experience every time.

Evolutionary Psychology: This concept means that people evolve and develop some fixed memory or perception through time. For example, people are afraid of fire and will .....In this situation, Victor wants to win the game, because human have the nature to want to win, this is in his nature, it is not something he want to do, it is like his intrinsic behavior.

1) Semantic Encoding: A process which people memorize things by understanding its meaning

This concept will help Victor for his preparation. During his preparation, Victor viewed many books with difference chess strategies. Victor look at these strategies and memorize them by understanding them. After a week, when Victor is in his next chess tournament, he remembered these strategies that he has read last week and apply them during the match.

2) Mnemonics: A kind of memory technique which help people to memorize things better

This will help Victor to prepare for his next chess tournament. When Victor is preparing for the next tournament, Victor accessed many chess books with different strategies and their diagram for application. In order to memorize the strategy, Victor need to find a way to memorize the diagram so that he can apply in the next tournament. Thus, Victor make a riddle about the chess's position on the grids: A1 is queen, b8 is king, D9 is soilder...... Victor memorized the diagram using the riddle he make. After a week, during the match, Victor recalled this riddle in his brain and applied the strategy. Eventually, he win the match.

3) Evolutionary Psychology: A theory of psychology claiming that human chose to behave in order to survive in the environment

This will help Victor to prepare to the tournament. Because his father said that if he lose the tournament, he will be killed. In order to survive from his father, Victor chose to work hard in preparing his match. Eventually, he win the match and is able to survive from his father's murder.

Semantic encoding is all about how human minds turn the information of working memory into the LTM.

In this case, Victor may improve his chess skills by watching all kinds of strategy books and turning the information into LTM so that he can use it on the day of the chess tournament.

Mnemonics are a method that you use to help remember things. By remembering the first letter of several words, it can help your mind connect whole things for you to remember.

In this case, Victor may use it to remember the first letter of steps he was going to take when facing a situation on the board at a chess tournament. For instance, he needs to remember the Sicilian steps at first, then the queen, and then whatever. He only needs to remember the first letter, such as SSQ, and then he knows that he is going to take the step of the Sicilian and then the queen.

Evolutionary psychology is to interpret actions done by humans using the perspective of evolution.

For this scenario, maybe Victor will engage in lots of competition with others. Every time he loses a game, he should take a little summary and learn about his mistake and how to improve it.

Semantic encoding: It refers to the encoding some memory by understanding the meaning. In this scenario, if Victor is struggling on remember the a great chess skill "Position changes of car and king", he can first read some article to explain that and understand its meaning. So, it can be better be encoded by Victor.

Mnemonics: It refers to the technique to remember things, the peg-word system is one of typical remember technique and it means the association between the information and number. In this scenario, victor can use number to help him to remember some complex chess skill. Such as 1 refers to King's fighting skill, and 2 refers to the technique "Position changes of car and king."

Evolutionary Psychology: It is a psychology theory which Charles Darwin is famous expert in this field. It refers to people do behavior to adapt and survive in the society.

1.semantic encoding is the process of converting basic, sensory memory into long-term memory by connecting new information with existing knowledge. For Victor, while preparing for next chess tournament, he can constanty imitate and practice some of his opponent's new chess playing style by relating it with some of his basic, accumulated skills and knowledge to ensure he won't be defeated by opponents who are using similar strategies and forever remember them.

2.Mnemonics is a form of memory aids by using visual imagery. For example, Victor can set his first step in a chess game into letter A and then next step into letter B and so on and so forth. Through practicing, he can remember all the steps that he wants to use in the game by remembering the letters in the particular sequence.

3.Evolutionary Psychology is the concept of human acting in certain way because it helps to their survival and development. For Victor, winning the chess tournament guarantees his survival because if he lost, he has to pay a lot of money to compensate his lost, which he couldn't afford. Thus, he would keep working hard to win the game as possible.

Semantic encoding is making short-term memory into long term memories, by always rehearsing the same thing over and over. This may help Victor because if he wants to win in the competition, he may practice over and over again with someone, until he knows what to do. So when it is the competition day, he may remember what he practiced since he does it more than once.

Mnemonics is a system used as memory aids that uses imagery visual and organizational devices to study and the development of systems for improving and helping the memory. This may help Victor prepare for his next chess tournament because before the day of his tournament, he might develop his own systems, in which he uses the chess pieces as a tool to help him win by researching online how to win in chess, and he can put the information from the internet and applied it on the chess pieces. Then, at the day of the tournament he may remember the information in his head when he saw the chess pieces on the grid.

Evolutionary psychology is the study of focusing on how behavior aids people's survival and involves with natural selection. This may help Victor to win because since as human beings, we tend to get competitive and want to win even though sometimes it is not a competition. During the competition, Victor may get competitive and want to win, so he can get the prize or award for paying his rent. Thus, he would try his best to win against all his competitors or opponents from getting the award, or else he has no place to stay and survive.
