when I enrolled at college I sat and spoke to a tutor who asked me why I wanted to join this course which I could answer confidently. I also was able to show physical evidence for my qualifications.

This helped with my communication skills as I had to talk to potential tutors and new people.

I think I spoke well which helped me understand the things the tutors was telling me which helped my confidence when joining the course.

The thing I think I Could’ve done better was not going in with my parent as i relied on them to answer things when I didn't want to.

Every week I work at my local pub/restaurant as a waitress. Within this job I serve customers and help run meals.

This helps with my communication skills as I’m speaking to customers all the time asking them what they need and how I can provide for them making there experience positive.

I’m Always keeping myself busy and trying my best in the work space to help others such as staff and customers.

I think I could improve speaking to people over the phone as this is somthing i struggle with. This will be a big help for future life.

I have horses which I ride most days and sometimes compete with. This involves caring for them which gives me a big responsibility.

This helps with my communication skills as I have to speak to different people at the stables and also speaking to others who care for the horses to make sure everything is up to date. Communication plays a big part with horses so things such as medication isn’t getting done more than it should and their health and well being is top priority.

My riding skills are really good it helps with my balance and fitness which will help with my future

Evidence 1- Team quilt

for this task we had to write down on a piece of paper our name and our favourite things to get to know each other better. after this we had to work together in order to create a quilt we used string and put holes through the paper to join them together with the string. this is an example of teamwork. it developed team work skills because we had to communicate so the making of the quilt went smoothly otherwise it would cause chaos as people would get annoyed as everyone would try doing the same thing. something that went well was how everyone was talking to figure out who was doing what. another thing was that there was a team leader which helped the task be organised and well put together. something that could be improved is that it was messy and to many things happening at once.

Evidence 2- INDUCTION

during my first week at college we had to get into groups to take part in a tyre building activity with new people. we had to build a pyramid with our team by stealing other peoples tyres however you had to have at least 5 people touching the tyre while it was moving. this helped develop my team work skills as we had to communicate with people we had never spoken to before in order to get the pyramid up the fastest. something that helped the task was only one person in the team could talk this was good because you then knew what you was doing without getting confused and had a clear order. a thing that could be improved however was that even though there was one person talking to help give people a sense of direction it would have been better if more people could talk in order to communication about who's going where.

Evidence 3- finding things around the college task

for this task you and your team partner had to walk around college finding things on a checklist and taking a picture of the tasks you have completed on the checklist. this helped develop team work skills as me and my partner had to work together to think where we would find the things on the checklist. something that went well during this task was that it was easy to follow as instructions where clear by the tutor. something we could have improved was not rushing and taking our time to think about the answers.

An example of this task would be showing up for your lessons on time and all the time. This will help with my grades which will help with my future goals and aspirations.

Something I could work on is getting earlier trains to help me be on time to all my lessons. if I am late I could improve with communicating with my tutors instead of just turning up late

An example of reliability would be turning up to work on time and not cancelling last minute or not turning up at all. this shows that you have a good work ethic and want to help.

I helped Lara by over coming her trigger by listening to her and even giving her some solutions that could help her overcome her trigger or even just give her some support when she is struggling.

another example for motivation would be to get my assignments done and stop leaving them to pile up as this causes stress to my college life.

getting my assignments done before the deadline means I wont have to worry and I can be ahead as it will help me for the future.
