Active with the Student Council, he also participated in Spanish Club activities and was a member of the National Honor Society. A varsity swimmer and water polo competitor, Michael Kunka also took part in JV golf and football and participated in the Mr. Midway competition. Mr. Kunka has a strong work ethic, exemplified by his work with MAK Lawn Service, which he has led since 2018. His company provides lawn services to an expanding base of commercial clients, as well as general landscaping such as bed preparation and maintenance. He also has experience as a lifeguard with Ridgewood Country Club and has been responsible for pool cleaning and giving swimming lessons. Mr. Kunka’s professional background extends to providing after-school care with Panther Kids within the Midway Independent School District. Organizing a wide range of activities, he assisted children in completing a variety of homework assignments.
