In the beginning Hodja was tired of feeding the donkey and wanted Nisa to do it. Nisa did not want to feed the donkey so they decided to have a contest to see who would talk first. Hodja closed his eyes and thought about something else. A robber came and stole their valuables and their donkey. Nisa saw what happened and asked if Hodja was alright. Hodja said you spoke first and Nisa realized that the robber took the donkey. Nisa was upset with Hodja because he cared more about winning then letting a robber take their valuables. At the end of the story Hodja was happy because no one had to feed the donkey.
