I enjoyed this poem because it seems broken up by the punctuation, creating the idea that the poet/character is trying to remember a story but keeps remembering little details that make the story much more nostalgic

At first it shows how travelling and going on an adventure was something this person loved to do. Though it soon becomes clear that travelling caused the furthest distance and separation from those who they had left back home.

It makes you realise how she not only gone on a physical journey, she has also gone on a mental one. That she is now reflecting on her past as she realises how she has left people through this journey.

At first the narrator seems to have found happiness by travelling. But by the end it becomes clear due to her travling they feel they have a huge hole in their life. Which is human relationships.

I like how this poem can be interpreted in two different ways. A woman embarking on an adventure around the world to find herself or a psychological journey she has taken to discover herself. Either one portrays a girl who is unsure of herself
