i’ve found that there’s this underlying theme of attacking the issues attributed to capitalism. Especially in the Dalai Lama piece wherein he discusses the existing rift between social classes and how it could be expanded exponentially with the New Genetics^tm. This is also found in “Unnatural Selection” when it is stated that those in the upper social standing tend to have greater access to the factors that affect the gender imbalance.

The moral compass discussion was really profound. Humans are really binary in nature and can't see past the black and white so when a gray area appears humans naturally freak out and the moral compass spins in every direction. I believe instead of a compass, it should be more of a scale between morals and technological advancement.
