         <description><![CDATA[<div>At the age of 24 in 1891 Marie had moved to Paris to study at the Sorbonne. At the Sorbonne she had studied physics, and worked in the lad of future Noble Prize winner Laureate Gabriel Lippmann. She had also obtained licentiateships in Physics and the Mathematical Sciences. In 1903 Marie earned her PhD and the Noble Prize in Physics. Pierre Curie the future husband of Marie was a professor in the school of Physics in 1894. The following year, 1895 Marie Curie had married Pierre Curie. </div>]]></description>

The same year, Marie and Pierre won a Nobel prize for their work in radioactivity. the following year, she became chief assistant to her husband in his laboratory. Later Pierre began teaching at Sorbonne. And in 1906 her husband Pierre Curie died in a accident so she took his place as a professor of general physics. She was the first women to hold this position. In 1911 Marie won another Nobel prize for her own work with radioactivity.  </div>]]></description>

Given her work in creating a X-ray that had caused cancer and Marie could not contain how much pressure and old age she had died. Her work changed the knowledge we know today about Radium. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Vivi:<br>This year I now have a way better understanding of how matter works. Before I had done very little in science so I didn't know much. I have also learned to be more patient like a scientist.&nbsp; Before I just knew that Marie Curie worked with x-rays.<br><br><br>Natalie:<br>This year I have now understood a lot more about science thanks to Mrs. MJ.
