And last I think she empathy because she cares about Roger.

In the story, "Thank you, ma'am", The character traits I think that Mrs. Jones has are maternal, caring, forgiving, generous, and resilient. I say that she has these character traits because after Roger tried to steal her purse, she caught him and kicked him in the behind. But right after that, it's like she got this motherly instinct that he had no home or parents because she saw that his face was dirty, or as she said it, he needed to wash his face. Then she literally took the person who tried to steal her purse to her house, let him wash his face, gave him food to eat, combed his hair, and gave him the money that he needed.

Mrs.Jones was a Strong and Independent woman. At the start when Rodger tried to steal her purse, she knocked him down and picked him up by the collar. We can tell she is also Serious giving her tone.

However when Mrs.Jones notices how poor and dirty his face look, instead of taking him in, she lets him come to her house at wash his face. This shows her Care and Compassion.

She is also very Hospitable and even Generously enough, fed Rodger. When Rodger was about to leave she even gave him a $10 bill for him to get the blue suede shoes he wanted.
