The first conflict was between Marcus and Charlie because Charlie gets Marcus in trouble and confused sometimes. For example when Charlie accidentally threw a football in through a car window and didn't help pay for it. Another conflict is between Troy and Marcus. Since both are going for the same position in football, they are always competing, but not in a good way. Troy thinks he is the best and bloats about himself. As Marcus first met Charlie, he did not know that Charlie had Alzheimers. He got mad when Charlie couldn't remember things and when he acted childish. So, Marcus would easily get mad at Charlie without knowing that he has a brain injury.
