How and Why did your family come to the United States?

My family came to United States for a better life for me and my brothers. They wanted to be in a free country and raise me here so I can play sports and live a good life.

What were the obstacles that they met?

They met a lot of obstacles when coming here to the USA. They needed to be accepted and needed to get a VISA and passport etc. They needed to go to college and school so they can get a job that can support me and my brothers. They then need to find a good home and safe place to live and raise us so we can have a good life.

What was going on historically in the U.S. during this time and did it affect your family?

What was going on was the 9-11. This was a very critical and important and dark time of the US. Many people lost loved ones and people were going into depression. USA was attacked by some bombers but this didn't affect my family that much. Also Hurricane Katrina happened but that also didn't really affect my parents because they weren't in the area during that time it happened.
