         <title>Heterotrophic mode of nutrition</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Heterotrophic Mode of Nutrition is a mode of nutrition where other non-green plants grow on other organisms and take nutrition from them. There are four types in Heterotrophic mode of nutrition:-<br>1)Parasitic mode of nutrition:-It is a mode of nutrition where a other non-green plant penetrates its roots(called haustoria) into the host plant and take nutrition from them. Here only parasitic plant is benefited and host plant is slowly completely destroyed. Eg:-Cuscuta, Mistletoe etc.<br>2)Insectivorous mode of nutrition:-It is a mode of nutrition where plants grow in place where nitrogen deficiency is there. They trap Insect to fulfill there need of proteins, nitrogen and other nutrition. Eg:-Venus Flytrap, Dodder Plant etc.<br>3)Saprophytic mode of nutrition:- It is mode of nutrition where plants grow on dead and decaying matter and take nutrition from them, they are generally white in colour. Eg:-Indian Pipe etc.<br>4)Symbiosis:-It is mode of nutrition where there is mutual relationship  between two plants the two plants are called as symbionts. Here both the plants are benefited. Eg:-Lichens etc</div>]]></description>
