This radio broadcast made me feel less confident in banks in certain ways. I don't like the idea of my money being used for other things the bank wants to do because I don't know if they will somehow lose part or all of my money. "The bank does not put your money in a safe place, the bank invests your money in many different forms... in other words, the bank puts your money to work." "Together we cannot fail". It made me feel reassured as if I lived during the Great Depression. The way Roosevelt speaks does feel as like he is talking directly to the people. Not only that but he shows that he cares more about the citizens well-being than money, and gold, as seen in the quote.
