wow I just found out that everything is made up of matter and matter is made from atoms.

1 question I have is how many elements are there.

4 important words are-compound meaning to put together-atoms the basic particles of the chemical elements.-Molecules The smallest particle of a substance that has all of the physical and chemical properties of that substance. Molecules are made up of one or more atoms.

3: A atom is the largest thing to make up anything.

4: A compond is 2 or more things put together into one.

E: While reading the section for today, I felt interested because even though most of the things from the text I already learned from science, I learned new things

I: What I found interesting was that how on page 8 they showed the whole Periodic Table instead of just describing it.

O: On page 9, I was surprised that only 3 elements make up over 90% of the human body.

U: I'm curious about Ammonia, can Ammonia do things that affect other properties or things in a good way?

Compound is a pure substance that is formed when the atoms of 2 or more elements are held by chemical bonds.

Chemical property means the ability of matter to change into a specific substance.

Mass is the amount of matter that is in the object.

I just found that there are different mixtures that make up different things that like Brass.

1: Solid, definition: having three dimensions (length, breadth, and thickness), as a geometrical body or figure.

2: Liquid, definition: composed of molecules that move freely among themselves but do not tend to separate like those of gases; neither gaseous nor solid.

3: Gas, definition: Physics. a substance possessing perfect molecular mobility and the property of indefinite expansion, as opposed to a solid or liquid.

4: Amorphous Solid, definition: any non-crystalline solid that does not organize the atoms and molecules in a definite lattice pattern.

1- One question I have is what is plasma and what does it have to do with the states of matter?

4- Crystalline: Salt, sugar, and quartz are an example of a crystalline solid.

Amorphous: Made up of plastics, wax and rubbers. One example of an Amorphous solid.

Matter: Everything is made up of matter and matter can appear in different states or forms.

Particles: Particles are what makes up that form of matter.

We learned about changes in matter and how energy causes matter to change because when matter is heated it absorbs energy and when it cools it loses energy.

1 question I have is why water starts to fog when dry ice is put in water.

4 Important words are Substance:a particular kind of matter with uniform properties.

Ice:frozen water, a brittle transparent crystalline solid.

Carbon dioxide:A colorless, odorless gas. It is a waste product made by the body. Carbon dioxide travels in the blood from the body's tissues to the lungs.

Matter:Matter is anything that takes up space and can be weighed. In other words, matter has volume and mass. There are many different substances, or types of matter, in the universe.

Dry ice turning into a gas

One thing I want to know is why energy heats up and cools down.

4 important words are Condensation( The change in a state from gas to liquid), Sublimation ( A solid that changes directly into a gas ), Cycle ( The repetition of something) , and State ( a phase ).
