The most famous group of people was the White Rose who was heavily anti-Nazi and was just a couple of university students who spoke out against what Hitler was doing. They were active from 1942 to 1943 which is a whole year. These students were Hans and Sophie Scholl, Christoph Probst, Alexander Schmorell, and others. This group put out leaflets that put down what Hitler was saying. It called out the Nazis and Hitler himself for how he was taking people's freedom and should be overthrown. Even with their small numbers, they were seen as a symbol of resistance from the Nazis.

Another group was Swing Youth who was rebelling by embracing swing music and fashion which the nazi didn’t like. They were around from the 1930s and the 1940s and they were mostly teenagers and young adults who did not accept what the Nazis were doing. They went against them with the power of music and even when the Nazis would ban the type of music they were playing they would do it anyways.

The Edelweiss Pirates were sabotaging what the Nazis were doing and it had helped. Instead of doing what other groups did, they fought like pirates did. Well in this case they did fight. They had did sneaky things like graffiti, giving out anti- nazi leaflits, and messing with whatever the Nazi do.

They couldn’t stop much of what the Nazis were doing but it did show that some resists was happening and that the youth wasn’t going to let them get away with what they were doing. They saw that even if they did not fight the Nazis head on they did small things that were big to them. They Knew that these acts would show that these people could not just take their freedom away from them.
