It also offers a sense of pride for being associated with the dominant segment of the society.<br><br>-"Gradual loss of cultural heritage by the minority group because of those who leave it, and loss of those who reject its cultural ways, can give rise to increased feelings of alienation and inadequacy among minority group members."<br><br>-Many Yi students are feeling cultural and individual tension in school, as receiving education could be a form of assimilation. They also feel <br><br>-However, due to how the traditional Chinese education is conducted, questions such as "Who am I?" or "Am I, and is my culture, worthy?" are seldom being asked in school. Ethnic identities are therefore not politicized even in multiethnic school environment.<em><br></em><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>-Poverty cannot be eliminated if the roots are not seen and changed accordingly. <br><br>-“Over half of rural babies in China face malnutrition and over half of rural children are developmentally stunted, with an IQ lower than 90, because of a lack of early childhood education. Forty percent of schoolchildren in rural China have intestinal worms, and over 30 percent of rural students have vision problems but do not have glasses.“<br><br>-Over <strong><em>63</em></strong> percent of people in poverty in China quit high school. Meaning that those people are only suitable for labor-intensive jobs, such as assembly line workers, and cannot be retrained for higher value-add jobs because of their lack of learning ability.</div>]]></description>
