Think of this analogy:

If a student studies for hours on end without breaks, it is likely that she or he might become tired, lose focus, and retain less and less information (even if they study their notes dozens of times.)

If another student studies periodically and takes several breaks, they are less fatigued and have more time to repose and let concepts "sink in" her or his brain. They might go over their notes fewer times than the first student, but the way they study is much more efficient than the way that the first student does.

In this analogy, the first student represents American education, and the second student represents French and Finnish education. This is why I think that France and Finland have more academic success than America does.

American schools do not have breaks and they are constantly trying toshove information into our brain, which is unfair. We are trying to balance life, school, and growing up all at the same time. Also, American fails to realize that their methods do not work, because have one of the worst school systems in America.
