This treaty officially ends all ties between the two countries. British troops were ordered to immediately leave the U.S. and return to Britain. Also, boundaries were set for the new country. The country will go west to the Mississippi River, South to Spanish Florida, and North to Canada. Many colonists were happy about Americas victory in the war but some referred to as "loyalists" left the country because of their undying loyalty to Britain. Many of them fled to Canada. He was away from his family for awhile and mostly fought on American soil. He learned a lot about the French and Indian war and developed a strong hatred of Britain. He jumped at the opportunity to fight in the war.
