12 x 9

I think working with tens is easy to calculate. I basically, used my ten times tables and got an easy number. I broke up 12 into 10 and 2. At the end I multiplied 10 by 9 and 9 by 2 to get my final answer of 108.

10 x 9=90
9 x 2= 18
90+18= 108

A)my favorite part is 18 x 5=9 x 10=90.
B)I think number flexibility is importint because because if you have a big number then you can split it into somthing easer to mulityply.
C)you can split 12 x 9 into 3 x 9+3 x 9+3 x 9+3 x 9+3 x 9=12 x 9 or 6 x 9+6 x 9=12 x 9 or 10 x 9+2 x 9=12 x 9 i would use number flexibility so i would split 12 x 9 into 10 x 9+2 x 9 witch =108
