1- Palamon and Arcite seem like ideal knights because they are loyal and follow the code of chivalry. 2- But they fall short of the ideal because they are fighting over a girl and then the two cousins aren't staying loyal to each other and there competing against each other instead. 3- The knights tail teaches the listeners that it is not worth fighting against your own family. In the text it states, "Palomane could not recognize her at first among the other women. They were all quite pretty..."(McCaughrean 14). So, Paloman realizes it wasn't worth fighting over her cousin for one girl because all the girls are pretty and Emily isn't the only one. 4- The knights tale reflects who the Knight is because it shows what he thinks of the story and the way he told it describes what he thinks.

"Athenian soldiers searching the battle field for their own wounded companions found two young knights lying side by side."

Palamon and Arcite fall short later on because they are living in the same castle and fighting over a girl. They end up fighting each other to death which is not ideal at all.

a lesson that the knight would like to teach his listeners is to not do dumb things in the text it states "Friend he said touching his cousins cheek.

Palamon and Arcite seem like ideal knights because they know how to fight they both followed the code of chivalry and they also treat everyone as if they are also knights. The text states," despite the cold stones and hard floors of their own towertop prison, both Arcite and his cousin Palamon gradually recovered from their wounds. Their devoted friendship made the passing days, wees and months bearable, though both grew dreadfully bored."

Palamon and Arcite turned on eachother. They used to be best friends but when they met a girl that they both fell in love with they turned on each other and that does show that they would not be good knights.

The knight might hope to teach his listeners that no friendship or friend is guaranteed to never turn on you. The text states,: You Judas, you cuckoo. Where are you vows of life long friendship now. The first chance you get you stab me in the back."

The knight is trying to teach everyone a story and shows that the knight is very wise. The knight is the person that has the most social class and this shows that the knight is going to be wise and tell and show people what to do because he knows best.

They went to battle here and fought until they were captured and then also risked their lives jousting each other

They act immature and selfish about the girl. They both fight each other for that girl. Knights are supposed to be generous and mature but they both wanted to kill each other because of Emily.

You might learn don't be to focused on one thing because who knows what you will find if you look. On pg 14 Palamon kills Arcite to win the girl and then the text states "Palamon could not recognize her among the other women they were all quite pretty.". Palamon and Arcite were so focused on Emily they were willing to kill but then Palamon instantly regretted it when he saw all the other girls. If you just keep on open mind you can find something better later.

It represents how not all knights have to be that chivalrous and the knight chooses to be that way
