From this project, I learned rudimentary photo editing, as well as the importance of perspective in photography. In covering the famous photographer, Alex Prager, I learned that you don't need a professional education in order to be successful.

I was uncomfortable when doing this project, as it felt wrong to not plan out photos at all, and to just point and shoot. However, it helped me to realize that a photo doesn't have to be perfect to be a good photo.

Leading Lines

This project made me think about the background of my photos before taking them, and it helped me to realize how to draw viewers' attention to the focal point of a photo. In this project, I also got started learning about better editing software like Adobe Photoshop.

3D Form

This project taught me how to show surface details in my photos, and how to make them even more clear with editing. I found this style of photography very satisfying, and I feel like I will definitely do more of this type of photography on my own time.

Texture of Man-Made Objects

From this project, I learned how to use various things like lighting and the rule of thirds to make the texture of objects more apparent in my photos. Then, how to use adjustments in Photoshop to add contrast and add more detail to the texture focus in a photo.

Texture of Objects in Nature

This project was mostly recycled concepts from the "Texture of Man-Made Objects", except modified to work with objects in nature. However, it did teach me how to use those same concepts differently to work with objects in nature.

Color Photography

This project taught me how to edit photos to make certain colors stand out and look more vibrant, and how to dull down others that would distract from the focal point of the photo.

Bird's Eye Photography

I was absent for most of the Bird's Eye Photography project, and didn't end up having time outside of class to take photos.

Pop Art Portraits

This project was strange to me; however, it did make me think about how colors would go together or contrast with each other. It taught me how to make a basic collage in photoshop, and how to recolor black & white photos.

This project was very interesting to me. Although it wasn't appealing to me at the time, looking back I kind of did enjoy it. It was almost like piecing together a puzzle. This project taught me how to crop down photos in photoshop, and how to make changes like mirroring to make images fit together.

Fantasy World

I really enjoyed the room for creativity in this project, but I'm not really a fan of my final product, and I'm a bit disappointed by it. I feel like I could've done much better with this project if I tried again. This project taught me to manipulate the lighting and colors of objects so that they fit together. I also learned how to use tools like the object selection brush to remove the background and clutter from photos.

Photoshop DIY

I really enjoyed this project, and I really enjoyed the opportunity to learn photoshop by doing something I enjoy. From the various DIY projects, I learned a lot about how to use layer effects, filters, and other manipulations. Overall, this was my favorite project.

I really enjoyed my time in this class, and I've learned so much about photo editing and photography in general. My favorite project was the Photoshop DIY, because of the freedom I had to create what I wanted and found interesting.
