         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Observation</strong>: </div><div>We observe that there is a change in the political leadership in Venezuela that favors the opposition for the first time in 20 years. The new leading figure is Juan Guaidó, president of the National Assembly and new interim President recognized by 52 countries, including Denmark. </div><div><br></div><div><strong>Why question</strong>: </div><div>Why did the opposition choose Juan Guaidó to be the President during the power transition process in Venezuela?</div><div><br><strong>Methodology</strong>:</div><div>Coding of representations of Juan Guaidó in US and Europe media (in English). Inductive coding applied to identify the dominant frames used in analytical articles and find an insightful divergent frame.  </div><div>Interviews to constitutionalists, politicians and members of the military.<br>Review of the constitutional process and the strategy of the opposition, with Guaidó's political career as a key element of it, to add meaning to the these facts.<br>Look for theories of internal power transition, regime changes...</div>]]></description>
