Pears aren't a special fruit by any means. They're similar to apples, but aren't anywhere near as good. No one ever picks a pear out of a bowl of fruit. Similar to a unsophisticated essay, it doesn't stand out at all and has no unique or special features.

It might be considered a fruit, but its consistently disgusting. No one likes this stuff. It has a weird texture, and there are so many better melons to choose from. It feels like eating an unripe watermelon. Similar to an essay that gets a 1 in this category, it checks off some boxes, but still feels unripe and unfinished.

Cranberries are a weird fruit. They aren't sweet, they're extremely firm, and they aren't good on their own by any means. If you have ever eaten a cranberry on its own, it feels like chewing on a rock and is extremely sour. The only way that these are good is if they are turned into something else, like juice. Similar to an essay that receives a 0 in this category, they feel unfinished on their own.

The banana is one of the basic fruits. Some people like them and some people don't. Overall, they are pretty balanced between being good or bad.
