I think that fog is formed by low clouds that after they have evaporated and have fallen down from the sky, and is also cold.
Or I think that it is low clouds but when it is down the sun heats it up and is disappears and then the cycle makes more clouds and then it happens again. Thats how I think fog and mist formed.

I think that the the mist is colder and littler then the fog because I think that the fog comes from the clouds and mist is cold air that makes the air hard to see in. I think that mist and fog do not reach right to the ground.

It is when the cold air comes in contact with the hot air (or damp air which is the hot air). When the temperature rises the fog or mist disappears. So actually the fog is still there. And there is even volcanic mist
