Ertesi gün su ısıtıcısını (kombi/termosifon/şofben), buzdolabını, fırın ve gaz tertibatını uygun malzemelerle duvara ve yere sabitlediler. Evde bulunan otkıran, böcekkıran ve yanıcı parlayıcı malzemeleri kilidi olan kapalı dolaplarda ve alt raflarda muhafaza ettiler.

Mustafa ve ailesi artık güvendeydi . Mustafa her çocuk gibi, bitmek bilmez bir öğrenme isteğiyle babasına sordu :’’ ‘’Babacım peki ya deprem sigortamız var mı ?’’

Mustafa’nın deprem konusunda göstermiş olduğu bu denli hassasiyet karşısında şaşkınlığını gizleyemeyen babası ‘’Deprem sigortasını da nerden öğrendin Mustafa?’’dedi.Mustafa;
‘’Babacığım deprem ve doğal afetlerle ilgili okulumuzda yürütülen bir proje ile öğretmenimiz bizi bu konularda bilgilendi ben bunları hepsini okulda öğrendim.Öğretmenimiz öğrendiğimiz bilgiler ile sizleri de uyarmamızı istedi ben de bu yüzden deprem sigortasını sana soruyorum.’’ dedi.
Mustafa’nın cevabı üzerine çok sevinen babası’’ Çok sevindim oğlum, okulda öğrendiğin tüm bilgileri bu şekilde hayatımıza aktarman beni çok mennun etti.’’dedi ve ekledi ‘’ Oğlum sen henüz aramızda değilken bir deprem yaşamıştık işte o zamanlar evimizin deprem sigortası yoktu ve deprem sonrası bu yüzden sıkıntılar yaşamıştık. Yaşadıklarımızdan öğrendiklerimiz sayesinde biz de annenle bu konuda daha temkinli olmaya karar verdik ve yeni evimizi alırken ilk yaptırdığımız şey de deprem sigortası oldu.’’ dedi. Mustafa aldığı bu cevaptan çok mutlu olmuştu.
