Parenting Styles- Erickson and Kohlberg would say Maysons's mothers have a very authoritative parenting style. We are strict, but fair. We care about grades and manners, but also want him to enjoy his childhood. We listen to Mayson when he is explains his side of the story.

He works full time and does volunteer work as a football coach as his former high school. Spiritually Mayson has a very strong relationship with god and tries to live a godly life. He makes sure that on Sundays church is at the top of his list. He is also very involved with church events and has developed strong and lasting relationships with his peers.

With Allie being a major support system to her husband, and even though they don’t have any children, they’re never to shy to display their affection for each other by kissing and hugging every chance they get. As Mayson continue to age, he doesn’t worry about the things he can’t change, he reflects on how he survived a past toxic alcoholic relationship with his ex girlfriend, and survived a rough financial patch. Mayson lives, laugh, and love, and continues to let the good times roll. He has a great sense of self. His self-esteem has risen sense he entered his fifties. Condersidering his healthy lifestyle and active career he is in good shape compared to other 67 year old men. As Mayson ages he becomes now agreeable especially with his wife. Mayson has never had problems with controlling his temper but his level of conscientiousness has increased. One of the changes that just keeps progressing with age is his physical appearance. He now has many wrinkles and his body that was once hardcore; now has softness to it.  Mayson also realizes that his body is not quiet as mobile as it once was during those Friday night lights games.  But he does make sure to never skip out on some type of physical activity during his day. Mayson does have trouble sleeping throughout the night on some nights.  To promote sleep aid, he makes physical activity a priority each day and sometimes will take melatonin to get his sleeping cycle routinely.  He normally takes a walk around his neighborhood or does work around the house.  His health is impressive and no major changes. The only life changing event is that he does have arthritis from playing football in his younger years, but it is not severe.

He survived by his mothers: Jayce Denton(Hunter), Zariah Patterson(Thomas), Meghan Cabe(Bruce), Ashleigh Evans(Kyle), and Reyna Jenkins(Darius). Mayson was a lifelong resident of Miami, FL, born at Mercy Hospital on March 20, 1943. He graduated Suma Cum Laude from the University of FLorida in Gainesville in 1968. He enjoyed his job a a Physical Therapist until he retired at age 65, and enjoyed his days playing golf at the Miami Shores Country Club and playing bingo with his fellow members of the Christ Fellowship Church in Downtown Miami. Mr. Ward was a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Rotary Club. The family will take family and friends on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at the Christ Fellowship Church in Miami. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 18, 2018, with a burial to follow in the church's cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Christ Fellowship Church in Miami. Mayson's life was full of love, family, and support from those who loved him.
