         <title>Henry Bessemer </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>He was born in January 19,1813 in Charlton United Kingdom He died in March 15th, 1898 in London United Kingdom. The <strong>Bessemer Process</strong> was an extremely important invention because it helped <strong>made</strong> stronger rails for constructing the railroads and helped to make stronger metal machines and innovative architectural structures like skyscrapers.  He was an inventor and engineer who developed the first process for manufacturing steel inexpensively (1856), leading to the development of the <strong>Bessemer</strong> converter. He was knighted in 1879.The invention from which Bessemer made his first fortune was a series of six steam-powered machines for making bronze powder, used in the manufacture of gold paint.          <description><![CDATA[<div>He was born on February 7, 1804 Rutland, VT He died on May 17, 1886 Moline, IL. <strong>His first wife was</strong>, Demarius Lamb, died in 1865. Two years later he <strong>married</strong> her younger sister, Lucinda Lamb.Facing a tough business environment, in 1837, a 33-year-old Deere packed up and headed west, eventually settling in Grand Detour, Illinois. Inventor <strong>Elias Howe</strong> patented his plans for the first practical sewing machine in 1846, and successfully sued Isaac Singer for the rights in 1854. <strong>Elias Howe</strong> patented the first ever lockstitch sewing machine in the <strong>world</strong> in 1846. His invention helped the mass production of sewing machines and clothing. American engineer and inventor <strong>Robert Fulton</strong> is <strong>best known for</strong> developing the first successful commercial steamboat, the North River Steamboat (later known as the Clermont) which carried passengers between New York City and Albany, New York. <strong>Fulton</strong> also designed the <strong>world's</strong> first steam warship.Best known for his development of the first commercially successful steamboat in 1807, <strong>Fulton</strong> also made <strong>important</strong> contributions in portrait painting, canal engineering, and naval warfare.
