I appreciated how the Spring PLST fostered collaboration and meaningful professional learning. The sessions were interactive, well-structured, and provided practical strategies that PLST members can apply directly in their schools. It was great to see so much enthusiasm from educators in my session with MagicSchool AI. I left feeling inspired by the shared best practices and innovative ideas. PS. Thank you for providing lunch for us every day! Thank you everyone for your hard work and commitment to providing high-quality professional learning.

PLST Role Alike

Glows- I like the fact that the teachers had a chance to be placed in their PLST Role Alike session and were able to get strategies, resources and updates about their own particular role. I love the fact that we were able to bring in an outside guest speaker to present to them. I believe this provided them with a different voice, different resources, and interactive collaboration and I like how our MINT/NTS department was able to collaborate with Pete Hall's Team to ensure our goals and information being presented was aligned to how we are supporting them as well. I like the break time that was embedded in the schedule. This allowed for travel/walk time. Thank you for delicious food each day for the staff. It allowed us to not have to leave the premise to get lunch. The Elective sessions were a great added twist. It gave the participants AND the presenters choice to go see other presentations and gain insight and ideas for our self growth. Shout out to Ana Lara for being able to capture our color-coded outfits each day and posting us on Social Media as an overall PLCD group. The participants loved the coordinating of us all wearing the matching colors! Easy to identify our PLCD staff to ask questions/concerns. Overall, it was a great conference!

Grows- A suggestion would be to have more signs or A Frames posted around the location so participants can be better guided as to where they should be going. Maybe a LARGE SCHEDULE could be placed on the A Frames and restroom signs posted on the walls/hallway. Also, try to put the different breakout rooms in nearer locations together to allow participants to arrive on time to their next section. Lots of late comers in the 8:30 AM session daily, stating they were lost or went to an old scheduled room. If the scheduled is revised the night before, maybe have a LARGE easel near the parking lots so they will know to reference the REVISED schedule for the day.

While teachers loved the techy type sessions, there were comments about not enough sessions of AI. Maybe a survey to see what the teams would like to as an elective option.

On the flip side, while I thought it was a great opportunity to have elective options, others not so much. It was clear from the traffic in the hallways that some may not have chosen to attend anything during that time period. Is that something worth addressing?
