Lennie is in his mid 30's and is really big and tall, he also has a mental disability which makes him act like a child. He lives and goes everywhere with his best friend George after his mom dies. They move in on a farm to work and get some money, one day he was in the barn with the new born puppies with Curley's wife. Curley is the boss of the farm and the people that work there. Lennie then see's a loose string on her clothing and he pulls it off. Curley's wife freaks out and starts to scream "Lennie was in panic. His face was contorted. She screamed then, and Lennie's other hand closed her mouth and nose" (Steinbeck 91). Lennie held her mouth shut until she suffocated and died. He freaked out and hid her in the barn under the hay. Although he has a disability he shouldn't have freaked out and held her mouth. This then lead to him dying. George had to kill him before he died by getting viciously attacked by Curley and the rest of the crew. Mateo is teenager that doesn't have many friends and likes to stay home. Mateo's mom died giving birth to him and his dad was in a coma. He got a call from Death-Cast saying he had 24 hours to live. Death-Cast is a company that knows when you are going to die and calls them to let them know. When he got the call he decided to download the best friend app which is an app to hang out with people who it's their last day too. He got matched with Rufus and after they went all around town having an adventure and saying their goodbyes to friends and family. After that, they decided to go back to Mateo's house for the last few hours of living. It was about 9 o'clock and they were home safe on Mateo's bed. Mateo decided to make some tea for him and Rufus, when he turned the oven on it burst into flames. "I leave the room and go to the kitchen to prepare tea for us. I set the pot over the stove's burner and check the cabinets for tea selections and decided on peppermint. When I switch on the burner, my chest sinks with regret. Even when I know death is coming, the blaze of it all is still sudden" (Silvera 347). Rufus then wakes up and gets out alive but Mateo got stuck in the flames and died. He made a poor decision because if Mateo had just stayed with Rufus then he wouldn't have died as fast, he also wouldn't have died in an as painful way than he did. It was already 9 o'clock so and they were save in bed so maybe they could have lived past the day like Rufus said. Although Romeo made many bad decisions, the worst one of all was killing himself. Romeo Montague was young adult that was born into a wealthy family. He met Juliet Capulet and they fell in love right away. They wanted to get married but their families have been in a long feud against each other since they were born. For them to get married they Juliet had to drink a potion that Friar Lawrence made for her so she would fall asleep for a couple days and wake up after her funeral so everyone thinks she had died so then they can run away and get married and live together forever. After the funeral when Romeo came to get Juliet she was still sleeping, Romeo thought she was dead and he decided to kill himself. "Arms, take your last embrace! And lips, O you the doors of breath, seal with a righteous kiss a dateless bargain to engrossing death" (5.3.114-115). Minutes after that Juliet woke up and saw that he was dead. Romeo made a bad decision of killing himself. If he had not killed himself he could have married Juliet and the plan would have worked. He should have waited a few more hours to be sure she was dead.
