I am mostly inetrested in how to apply cross-casting in a performance and what would ne the process to it in the rehearsals and acting tecniques used, or how to perform a cross-gender character.

I can focus on two types of Audences.

Those who watch Shakespearen plays who are aware of the cross-gender casting in the plays.  Like in Twelth Night.

I would focus on Audiences who watch musicals. Like The Lion King and Company (2019) with Rosalie Craig.

How aware they were about this change?

How/what did the audiences percive, uderstand, react, think and feel about cross-gender castig or when there is a change of the character's gender in a musical? 

How would they percive cross-gender casting if it would happen in other musicals?
Which other characters from musicals they would or wouldn't like to see gender-blind acting?
