BEST Robotics provides opportunities for 6th, 7th and 8th grade students at Denton Magnet to do the things engineers do: identify problems, brainstorm ideas, design solutions, test and retest, build and then share the results. Students become immersed not just in coding and building robots, but also marketing and presentation skills. At BEST kick-off, teams are given a box of the exact same supplies and a breakdown of the challenge for the competition. Teams have 42 days to build and code their robot along with making a commercial for their robotics company, a booth to highlight their company, and a sales presentation. BEST Robotics allows ALL students to shine and puts middle and high school teams in direct competition.
