Hello! I am Mrs. Thomas and I am extremely excited for our year together! I have been teaching for 18 years in the Blue Valley School District and 14 years at OTE! I have always wanted to be a teacher and I have a love for learning and problem solving. I received my undergraduate and Masters teaching degrees from Avila University. Red has always been  my favorite color. I love it because it is fiery, bold, strong, and warm, yet inviting and loving. What is YOUR favorite color? My husband, Billy Thomas, is the Boys Varsity Coach at The Barstow School in KCMO. He LOVES everything basketball and played basketball in college and professionally. My son, ZION, is 9 years old and will be 3rd grade at Barstow. He enjoys reading, Legos, trucks, playing outside, and McDonald's nuggets and French fries. Zion is a very loving child who loves to build and explore.  My daughter, LEYLAND, is 7 years old and will be in 1st Grade at Barstow. She enjoys ponies, unicorns, mermaids, and rainbows. She loves to color, especially with markers, and create her own stories and coloring books. Leyland is very outgoing, loves to talk and meet new people. We went to Boston to visit my sister and see the beach for the first time. We traveled to Fort Meyers, Florida to visit my dad and spend more time on the beach and warm weather. Aside from teaching, I also coach the University of Kansas dance team: the Rock Chalk Dancers. This will be my 7th season as the head coach. I have been dancing since I was 3 and have always LOVED to dance and perform. I love to ice skate, play soccer and l want to play volleyball. This summer I went to Chicago, South Korea, the Philippines, and my parents went to Japan. In Chicago, I went to the O'hare international airport to South Korea. In South Korea, I went on tours. In the Philippines, I went to Angeles City where my Mom and my grandparents live and we went to Baguio City, where they are known for their strawberries. I also went to Coron which was voted most beautiful island ever. I met my family members and my friends in the Philippines in lots of different places. I was born in Kansas City but have lived in 4 different states, Missouri, Texas, Nebraska, and Kansas.  My favorite things to do are playing piano, listening to music, training in my ninja line, riding my bicycle, play with my four brothers, swimming, boxing, and reading. This summer was very fun.  I had a birthday party and we went to visit my grandmother in Texas. I also did a lot of swimming with my team called Kansas City Blazers.  I did really well in my swim meets!  We also went to the go karts and I loved the speed!  I am most excited about reading class and learning 5th grade things. This coming year I plan to work on my dune buggy and take it out for many drives.

Eid is holiaday in Pakistan where you gather with family and have a feast, than adults give the kids money, because it makes the children happy which it makes the adults happy too.
