Would you marry a guy you just met? Or a guy you’ve known your whole life and had so many memories with them?
That’s what Jen wondered every day. She was supposed to marry a man she just met in order to rule her kingdom once her father past away. Not as if anything could get worse for her but she had to marry a man who she barely knew. All Jen wanted was a guy who she known her own life. Someone who won’t be angry when she hugged them.
That certain person, was her best friend.
Of course though, not everything could go her way. As much as she complained or whined, her parents always said no to her decisions.
She didn’t even want to marry that brute! He was a horrible man by the way villagers have been talking about him. Jen didn’t want her kingdom to be in uttered fear!
Jen was always fumbled about the idea of marrying her sworn enemy. How did he even become the enemy? Jen didn’t know ether, but all she knew was that he was a bad call.
Jen groaned in her mattress of her king size bed. If only her parents would agree of letting her marry who she wanted! She didn’t want fake love!
Jen barely liked to be in a bad mood to be honest. She was always independent and stubborn. But, in this situation she couldn’t stop her emotions from hitting the blankets of her mattress.
She was still punching her pillow when a knock came through the pale white doors.
Jen stopped herself and jumped off her bed, if anyone saw her with her messed up hair and dress ruffled, (a dress she would be caught dead it, a dress her mother made her wear), she would be dead by her father.
“Princess Jen?” came out a familiar voice from the door and Jen haven’t felt so relieved.
Jen rushed to the door and opened it; the sorrow she felt earlier erasing slowly. It was only Cathy. Jen and Cathy have been friends ever since diapers. Cathy’s mother and father have been a maid and a butler. After the death of Cathy’s parents, Jen pleaded her parents to let her stay.
Cathy was always that sweet cute girl who you could never get mad at even for a second. Her light caramel hair dyed into a beautiful bun, her eyes a light blue with a mix of green. Her smile was always bright enough to decrease a tension in a room.
Jen tried to remain strong. She should show him no fear. But, just to make sure with Cathy she still had the courage to ask Cathy, “He’s here isn’t he?”
Cathy scratched her head feeling warmness under her palm. “Yeah, he’s here.”
Jen wanted to groan- no scream. He’s here and she didn’t know what to do.
Her sworn enemy.
