The mainly focuses on the points of view of the African American women during the Civil Rights Movement. They speak about the harsh racism they faced while working for white families. The name of the movie was picked in reference to what African Americans were refereed to in 1960s- THE HELP.

They faced racism and inequality but, they were the brilliant minds and no one couldn't change that. These women fought for the civil rights.
