Ecological houses have a very little environmental impact because materials are choosed based on that impact, also, roofs and heating systems are made of natural resources. In traditional houses, the construction process and the end-use of buildings produces a number of gases and other emissions, such as greenhouse gases (carbon dioxide (C02), water vapour, methane and nitrous oxide) and the pollutants produced by synthetic chemicals used in the process of adaptation of materials.

For example: solar panels are really expensive, energy is not constant, in nights or cloudy days energy doesn't run the same. Even though it works well in sunny days, someone who works from home needs a constant function, wich solar energy can't provide.

Now, CO2 is something humans PRODUCE so we may not change that but tha cookstove can be changed by useing electric kitchens and ovens. Using gas to cook is one of the most important indoor pollutions but it can be solved. its a little more expensive but if you use solar energy it´ll be easier.
