It was ancient wisdom that people believed in that were scared of this island.

Description: This is a photo of the 3 light house keepers that vanished into nothingness. The names of them were James Ducat, Thomas Marshall, and Donald McArthur.

Connection:
The main red flag here is simplicity Donald McArthur was know to be a brawler and because the mercury in the bulb was so high in concentration was so high his mental could have been affected and he attacked the men and threw their bodies in the river while it was storming and got swept up by a big wave.

Description: This website goes over the possible theory’s myths and legends about the disappearances that happened at the Flannan Isle lighthouse.

Connection:
This site talks of Giant sea birds, abducted by spies or simply left to start new lives. A very popular theory is that they were swept away by the ocean. Or that they fell of a nearby cliff. An interesting theory is that MacArthur had a reputation for brawling and being violent and killed the other two men during a fight and fled after throwing the bodies in the sea.
Ancient wisdom: The log leading up to the men’s disappearance included some strange entries, with descriptions of an awful storm, high winds, and low spirits amongst the keepers.

Description:
The Flannan Isle Lighthouse Mystery - In December 1900, three lighthouse keepers stationed on an isolated group of islands in the North Atlantic vanished without trace. Was their disappearance the result of a freak accident? Or was there something more sinister at work?

Connection:
The red flag here is all natural you will see, after watching the video another theory was mention that could be a lot simpler. Two men were washed over the cliff by a monstrous wave, the third, hearing the wave from indoors, quickly jumped from his seat, knocking it over and ran out without his oilskins. He too was washed over. They all drowned and the bods never found.

Description:
This a picture of the spuriously haunted lighthouse that.

Connection:
Rumors have it that the lighthouse is still haunted to this day by the 3 men who disappeared. It is said that you can see shadow figures dart across door ways, hear strange sounds, and unexplained whispers can be heard from time to time. The feeling inside the building is cold and you feel as if you are being watched. These reports have been claimed by multiple people who look after the building right now

Description:
This website by thevintage goes in detail over one of the main theories that the light-keepers were out repairing the landing site while MacArthur maned the lighthouse and the two other men got swept by the waves.

Connection:
The red flag is all natural that the waves sucked up the light keepers off the docks. I personally don't believe in their theory it dosent add up, in the journal the last recorded entry was their was a big storm and they were all sat around praying for it to go away, if they went to fix a landing spot they would of logged it for sure.

Description:
This is the movie the vanishing it is a action horror thriller based off of the Flannan isles lighthouse.

Connection:
The red flag here is mystical energy in the movie ('spoilers") they find a mystical object that the men turn into a power struggle to gain control of this item, this is one of the main theories of the light house but it is a strech.

1: The most interesting thing i found while researching the flannel islands vanishing of the keepers was for the sure the amazing theories people have came up with, some of them are so different and so interesting to ready and than theory craft about them.
2: For the ideals about the flannel light house vanishing is a tip for builders to never use mercury in any of their projects especially like an enclosed place like a lighthouse. Because it is known to make people go crazy
3. The thing i enjoyed researching about the most was all the different stories people are now telling everyone about, this has made into many movies and books.
4. The thing i will most likely remember after all of this research is to make sure what materials is used in the building of a home or anything.
5. From completing the course i tend to believe the most dangerous red flag is ancient wisdom. Ancient wisdom can do major harm it is the belief of suspicion over something proven it can cause experiential harm in certain situations especially with viruses.
6.If i were to pass anything that i have learned from this course is that to take every story told with a grain of salt and use the red flags to try to isolate and figure out what this story means and how it is being manipulated.
