Did you use to have a nickname? No, I didn’t. My parents didn’t use a nickname for me.

When did you use to spend your vacations? I spent my vacations in summer.

What’s your favorite childhood memory? My favorite childhood memory was when my sister was born because I didn’t have sisters. I only had brothers until that my sister was born. I really was happy that day.

Who was your best friend in middle? My best friend in middle was Jennifer.

What’s your city or town like? My city is very noisy and a little bit dangerous but It’s so beautiful.

What transportation and public services are available? In my city are available buses, taxis, parking, public schools, parks and bicycle lanes.

What kinds of city or town problems are there? The city needs more bicycle lanes. The city isn’t safe enough. There aren’t enough police stations and there aren’t enough traffic lights. 

Could you tell me where the nearest hotel? The nearest hotel is on Guatemala avenue next to the bookstore “Daniel”.

Do you know where the elevators are? The elevators are in front of the white stairs.

Can you tell me where the nearest ATM is? The nearest ATM is on the corner on your left.

Do you know what time the banks open? The banks open at the 8:00 a. m until at 6:00 p. m.

Do you know where I can eat local food? You can eat local food in Bar Restaurant Juan Diego.

What would you tell a visitor about your city or town? I would tell a visitor that my city is very beautiful. There are places to enjoy with the family. There is a zoo. It is open from 8:00 a.m. at 7:00 p.m. every day. You should come back again. That I would tell a visitor.

My hometown is Quevedo. There are places to visit in family. It’s a little bit dangerous and noisy but it’s a beautiful city. The people are very friendly. The food is delicious and It’s not too expensive. Quevedo is really very nice.

Do you live in a house or an apartment? I live in a house with my family. 

What’s it like? My house is bright and safe. It’s small and little bit noisy.

Is your house or apartment big enough for you? My house doesn’t big enough for me.

Is it too small? Yes, it is. My house is too small and I have a big family. 

Does it have enough rooms? No, it doesn’t. My house has 2 rooms.

Does it have as many rooms as your old house or apartment? I didn't never move house.

What’s your neighborhood like? My neighborhood is big and little bit deingeruas.

Is it safe? No, it isn't. It isn't safe enough.

Is it as safe as this neighborhood? I always lived in the same neighborhood.

What do you wish you could change about your home? Why? I wish my house had been close to the University because that way I wouldn't arrive late.

UNIT 4: HAVE YOU EVER TRIED IT?
Have you ever been to a seafood restaurant? Yes, I have been to a restaurant. What was it like? It was a Sunday. I was with my family and we eaten at the seafood restaurant.
Have you ever eaten crab? Yes, I have eaten crab.
Did you enjoy it? Yes, I did. The crab was delicious.

Have you ever tried traditional food from another country? No, I haven't tried traditional food from another country but I would like eat it.

What did you think of it? I have not tried traditional food from another country but I think Mexican food is very good and I would like to try it.

Have you ever eaten something you didn’t like? Yes, I have. I have eaten something and I didn't like it.

What was it? I eaten melon and I didn't like it.

Have you ever eaten something unusual? No, I haven't. I have not eaten anything unusual and I would not eat something unusual.

What was it? I didn't eat something unusual in all my life.

What’s your favorite way to cook fried fish? I like to cook it with flour. First, clean the fish and add salt. Then, add the garlic. After that, add the flour. Finally, fry the fish.

How do you eat fried chicken? I like to eat fried chicken with Mayonnaise, ketchup and rice. I love it.

For this recipe I use: 1/2 butter, 1 cup chocolate chips sweet or semisweet, 2 eggs, 1 cup flour, 1/2 cup sugar and a bowl. 

First, melt the butter and chocolate chips in a bowl.

Then, beat the eggs, add the sugar and mix everything and add the previous mixture.

After that, add flour to the mixture.

Finally, bake for 25 minutes.

2. I use my cell pone to listen to music and watch videos. Yes, I do. I use the cell pone for study and do my homeworks.
3. I use the computer to create documents and upload them. To use the computer first turn it on. Then open the web browser to find information for the homework. After that open Microsoft Word to wite in the document. Finally upload the finished document.
4. Technology make my life easier because I can find information faster and I can connect with my family and friends when we are in different places.

5. Technology affects too much the way people work and spend free time because it is more effective to do office tasks and they have a distraction in their free time.

6. Technology cause problems such as insomnia and young people depend a lot on it.

7. To learn to use the internet first learn to use the browser. Then in the search engine find the web pages of information you need. Don’t forget to log in to your gmail. Finally save the information found.

2. My favorite season is the winter. I like Winter because is very cold. In winter, people spend more with their family because the weather is cold, so people only work and stay at home.

3. On my birthday I usually stay in my house with my family and we eat my favorite food, candies and cake.

4. In my country weddings are very happy and fun. Couples before their wedding receive the guests.

5. The guests eat food, dance and drink during the ceremony.

6. An unusual custom in my country is at Easter, no one leaves their homes and parents tell their children past stories. After that, people go back to their normal activities.

7. A South Korean custom is to never stick your chopsticks into the rice bowl, as it resembles the incense that is used at funerals.
