One Character that impacted and motivated/Inspired Keesh life was his father Bok because without his father death Keesh wouldn’t followed his steps and inspired him to rise to power and hunt by himself .For example, in the text it states Keesh is inspired because he carried his “bow with a goodly supply of bone-barbed arrows and that across his shoulder was his father’s big hunting spear”. This proves how Keesh is inspired by his father because he is carrying his father spear and going to hunt just like his father and carrying his supplies for hunting. In addition another evidence Keesh was inspired is he went to go hunt by himself in the text it states “my father was a great hunter I too his son shall go and hunt the meat that I eat”. This shows how Keesh father inspired him to go hunt by himself and like his father because Keesh said I shall go hunt the meat that I eat. Overall this concludes that Keesh was inspired by his father because Keesh Rise to power and hunted by himself by following his father steps and using his hunting materials .

One character that impacted Keesh’s life and motivated him was Bok his father because his father was a strong independent hunter who inspired Keesh . In the text it states , “ for that I know my father, Bok, was a great hunter , I
speak these words . It is said that Bok brought home more meat than any of the two best hunters .” Keesh bringing up his father while speaking to the council shows he’s motivated because he shows how proud he is of his father and what good he did for the village . It goes on to say , “Those who saw him go notes that he carried his bow , with a goodly supply of bone-barbed arrows , and that across his shoulder was his fathers big hunting spear “. When Keesh went to hunt alone he took his fathers big hunting spear which proves he was motivated because he knew in order to survive he needed to remember his father and what a great hunter he was . Without his father Keesh couldn’t have survived.

In text it’s states “Bok my father was a great hunter, I too, his son, shall go and hunt the meat that I eat.” It proves that council motivated and inspire Keesh’s life because the council said that he cannot speak with them like that, but Keesh said that he’s son of Bok, he was motivated because he make a decision that he will hunt alone to get meat, like his father did.In addition “But he came not shamefacedly. Across his shoulders he bore a burden of fresh-killed meat.” It proves that council motivated and inspire Keesh’s life because they let him go to hunt alone, after he go to hunt he came out with the meat. He did prove that he can hunt alone, and he uses his knowledge not witchcraft.

Because, even though his father was dead, it was motivation for Keesh, because what his father did in his life impacted Keesh. Jack London states. “ Bok, my father, was a great hunter. I, too his son, shall go and hunt the meat that I eat.” This proves the motivation that Bok, the father of Keesh has impacted on Keesh’s life. His father was a great hunter, which inspired Keesh to hunt too, and get his own meat to eat. Jack London states. “ Early next morning, however, Keesh strode into the village. But he cams not shamefacedly. Across his shoulders he bore a burden of fresh-killed meat.” Keesh done exactly what his father done during his life, His father Bok hunted and brought back meat, which motivated Keesh to do the same.

The text also states, "Those who saw him go noted that he carried his bow , with a goodly supply of bone of bone-barbed arrows, and that across his shoulder was his father's big hunting spear." this proves he carries his father gear everywhere he goes as evidence Bok is an inspiration to him. I, too, his son, shall go an hunt the meat that I eat." This shows that his father was a great hunter. When he was at the council they said that they can't accept him because he was too young. It states here "Put the child out! Send him off to bed!" This shows that council talked harsh to him but Keesh had to hunt with them. At the end of the story Keesh decide to hunt by himself and he killed the bears, then he brought the food to his igloo and village.

One individual/character in " The Story of Keesh" that impacted Keesh's life was the council. The council had an impact on Keesh's life because it motivated him to hunt on his own. In the text it states " Bok, my father, was a great hunter. I shall go and hunt the meat that I eat. And be it known, now, that the division of that which I kill shall be fair." This shows that as a result of the council talking to Keesh, he made a decision to hunt for him and his family. In the text it also states "Keesh strode into the village. But he came not shamefacedly. Across his shoulders he bore a burden of fresh-killed meat. And there was importance in his step and arrogance in his speech." This evidence shows that besides the struggle of hunting alone he proved the council wrong and stood up for his village and father. In addition, due to the council arguing with Keesh, he decided to hunt alone to provide for his family and prove the council wrong.

Keesh's eyes began to flash, and the blood to pound darkly under his skin. The text , "The Story of Keesh", it states " Bok, my father was a great hunter. I, too, his son, shall go and hunt the meat that I eat." Another reason why Bok motivated Keesh because, Keesh went on hunting and he was using his father's spear, in the text it states " with goodly supply of bone-barbed arrows, and that across his shoulder was his father's big hunting-spear." Despite this evidence, this shows that he went on hunting with his father's spear because he hunt a lot of animals with that spear, and he thought that he was going to kill his pray with the spear he had because his father used that spear a lot when he went on hunting. Keesh states, “For that I know my father Bok, was a great hunter, I speak this words.” This evidence shows how he was inspired by his father. He was arguing to the council about how great hunter his father was and so as him. ‘The Story Of Keesh’ states “Those who saw him go noted that he carried his bow, with a goodly supply of bone-barbed arrows, and that across his shoulder was his father’s big hunting spear.” this is second evidence which shows that he is inspired, motivated by his father Bok.

There are many characters in “ The Story Of Keesh “ that set Keesh on his path to success. But to bring that amount down i’d say Keesh’s father, Bok. This is because Keesh has taken steps that show he wants to be a great hunter as is father was. The text includes
that “ Bok, my father, was a great hunter. I, too his son, shall go and hunt the meat that I eat.” These words prove that Keesh was inspired because it proves Keesh has the desire of being a great hunter as his father was. Another piece of evidence that highlights Keesh his inspiration for his father is “ and that across his shoulder was his father’s big hunting spear.” This quote represents how Keesh is using his father’s weapon in battle because he is eager to be as noble as his father. Therefore Bok motivated Keesh because he gave him the motivation to speak up and defend himself and his family.

One character that impacted Keesh’s life is his father because, Keesh’s father motivated him to hunt the polar bear, get meat. For example in the text states “The father of Keesh had been a very brave man, but he had met his death in a time of famine, when he sought to save the lives of his people by taking the life of a great polar bear”. This shows that his father was a brave man, he sought to save the lives of his people from the great polar bear, but unfortunately he died from starvation. For example in the text says “It is said that Bok brought home more meat than any of the two best hunters, that with his own hands he attended to the division of it, that with his own eyes he saw to it that the least old woman and the last old man received fair share”. This proves that Keesh’s father he was the best hunter of all, that he always brought twice more meat than others, and that he would see with his own eyes that each of the people would get his share. Keesh's father was a very brave man, he defended all the people, he hunted polar bears and mined meat so that each of the peoples would get their share. And by this he motivated Keesh that he became like his father who was ready to hunt for a bear and get a meat.

One character that impacted Keesh's life was his father because he hunted to get his own food and show the council that he can do things on his own. One piece of evidence from the text, " Those who saw him go noted that he carried his bow, with a goodly supply of bone-barbed arrows, and that across his shoulder was his fathers big hunting spear," this shows tat he took his father hunting gear and went to hunt for himself. Another piece of evidence from the text is, " Across his shoulders he bore a burden of fresh-killed meat," this shows that he went back to the council from hunting and brought back a animal to eat. Keesh is motivated by his father because his father was humble to do things in his family, he wants to show that he can do as best as his father.

Keesh got experienced by his father to hunt animal. Because his father inspired him and he hunt alone. In the text it says, "Bok, my father, was a great hunter. I too, his son, shall go and hunt the meat that I eat". This shows that, Keesh father Inspired him and Keesh is going to hunt alone to get meat. In addition he want to like his father and help his mother. In addition "The killing of a polar bear is very dangerous, but thrice dangerous is it, and three time thrice, to kill a mother bear with her cubs". This show that Keesh father Inspired him, that's why Keesh can hunt the animal and also Keesh get the large polar bear and he hunt alone. In the story it states,"... when he sought to save the lives of his people by taking the life of a great polar bear." This inspired Keesh not only because a great polar bear has been defeated by his father but because he sacrificed himself for his people. Also," Those who saw him go noted that he carried his bow, with a goodly supply of bone-barbed arrows, and that across his shoulder was his father's big hunting-spear". Keesh's mom had a big impact on his life because without her he would have never made the decision to go talk to the council about curtain people not eating. In the text it states " ... and he being but a boy, and his mother only a woman, they, too were swiftly forgotten, and ere long came to live in the meanest of all igloos." This shows how Keesh's mom motivated him because if she wasn't with him he wouldn't of went to the council. Another peice of evidence showing how Keeshes mom had an impact on his life is when Keesh went to the council he was making a statement about not only him alone but also his mom and all the other woman and children. In the text it states " ... I who am his son, and Ikeega, who is my mother and was his wife, the son of bok has spoken."This peice of evidence shows how Keesh's mom had an impact on him because he wants to protect her so he's doing what he can to be the best person he can be.

An individual that impacted his life was his father Bok because without the death of Keesh’s father he wouldn’t be as driven to rise through the ranks and restore his family’s name. In the text it says that “Bok my father was a great hunter I too his son shall go and hunt the meat that I eat”. This shows that Bok was a driving force to make Keesh go hunt by himself because the first person he referred to was his father. The goes on to say that “Those who saw him go noted that he carried his bow with a goodly supply of bone-barbed arrows and that across his shoulder was his father’s big hunting spear”. This shows that his father is a big influence because not did he keep his word to go hunting by himself he pays tribute to his father by using his father spear. That is how Bok influences Keesh in the “Story Of Keesh”.

One character that motivated and inspired Keesh's life was council, because Keesh made his own decision, he went to hunt alone. This statement is true because in "In the story of Keesh'' states that "They ordered him to bed, threatened that he should have no meat at all " so this proves that they didn't wanted to give a meat , but Keesh was hungry and he made his decision, he went to hunt alone. In addition " Early next morning, however, Keesh strode into the village. But he came not shamefacedly, across his shoulders he bore a burden of fresh-killed meat" this shows that, after when Keesh made his decision he went to hunt alone, and he killed a big bear alone, he used his brain to kill the bear. So councils motivated and inspired Keesh's life.

In "The Story of Keesh" Bok, Keesh's father motivated him. Bok impacted Keesh's life in a good way, one way being that he sacrificed his own life to save his village and give them food, this motivated Keesh to be a good man. In the story, it states "The father of Keesh had been a very brave man, but had met his death in a time of famine, when he sought to save the lives of his people by taking the life of a great polar bear." This motivated and impacted Keesh because it made him want to become a great hunter and get food for himself. Another way Bok motivated Keesh was when he went hunting. In the story it states "Across his shoulders he bore a burden of fresh-killed meat." Bok motivated Keesh to do this because no ordinary 13 year old boy is able to do this. This is how Bok motivated Keesh.

There was many characters that inspired Keesh but the main people that inspired Keesh was the council the reason why is because if the council had never yelled or been unfair with there people. Keesh would have never stuck up for his people or take up hunting. in the text it states "they ordered him to bed, threatened that he should have no meat at all, and promised him sore beatings for his presumption. Keesh's eyes began to flash, and the blood to pound darkly under his skin. In the midst of the abuse he sprang to his feet.." the council and the hunters thought that Keesh was just going through a rebellious phase but they were just fueling Keesh up for success and to hunt for his village and be fair about it and the thought of this abuse made him angry and he thought that the council might be doing to to other people in addition in the text it states "Take this now, ye men, for my last word. Bok, my father, was a great hunter. I, too, his son, shall go and hunt the meat that I eat. And be it known, now, that the division of that which I kill shall be fair. And no widow nor weak one shall cry in the night because there is no meat." this proves that he just could not take the abuse he had to stick up for himself and not give in to the council commands so he went and hunt and brought back plenty of meat and as promised shared it with everyone even with the council. In conclusion there were many characters that inspired keesh his father, the mother, his people etc. but if it wasn't for the council keesh would have never been remembered or respected for what he has done.

One individual in "The Story of Keesh" who motivated Keesh was his mother, Ikeega. She was always against the council's point of view and inspired Keesh at the same time. According to paragraph 10 it reads,"As I say, though Bok be dead because he hunted overkeenly, it is just that I, who am his son, and Ikeega, who is my mother and was his wife, should have meat in plenty so long there be meat in plenty in the tribe." Furthermore in paragraph 19 it quotes,"Ikeega tore her hair and put soot of the seal-oil on her face in token of her grief; and the women assailed the men with bitter words in that they had mistreated the boy and sent him to his death." This shows that Keesh not only was inspired by his deceased father, but by his mother as well, who was going hungry every night. Overall, this inspired Keesh to mirror his father and not let anyone go hungry in the night by Ikeega, leading to being headman of the village.

One character that inspires Keesh was Bok his dad because he was a very brave man who inspired Keesh. It states here "Bok, my father was a great hunter." this shows that his father Bok is great hunter. Also when he went to the councils they did not gave him meat. But Keesh decide to hunt by himself just like his father. it states in the story "Send him off the bed. He is no man that he should talk to men and greybeards!" This shows that the council did not accept him because of his age. Bok is inspires Keesh because his dad and himself were hunted in the independent.
