         <description><![CDATA[<p>The movement of population from farms to cities. in the 1800's nearly 5 million people lived in rural areas. During the industrial Revolution people left farms for better job opportunities in the cities to work in factories. An issue of urbanization was the fact that so many people moved to cities it cause over population and cities to be crowded. </p>]]></description>

         <title>Child Labor Early 1800&#39;s </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Boys and Girls as young as seven years old often had to work in Factories. Young Children were useful in the Textile factories since they could squeeze through the large machines. They often worked 12 hours a day for 6 days. The money the children earned were usually used to help support the family. Most people didn't see a difference between children working in factories compared to working in farms. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Philo Stewart created an invention called the cast Iron Stove which was small enough to be used in a kitchen. In Philo's factory they made wood burning stove's which was a great success, Almost 90,000 were sold which was really good at the time. The cast iron stove was the one sign of the way the northern factories were actively changing the lives of people. </p>]]></description>
