I never considered why teaching netiquette and digital citizenship is so important. I think it was important to do a project like this because as a teacher it is important to realize technology is constantly changing. It is not always going to be the same and I will have to adapt to how my students learn based on what is being used in the school district today. Also, there is so much technology out there today and social media that it is important to know how to be safe and respectful when online. I thought the don't use all caps was interesting. I have always thought caps mean screaming but a lot of my friends use all caps all the time. It gets annoying because I never know if they are yelling or just trying to place emphasis.

I never considered the exact definitions of netiquette and digital citizenship. I also never knew what they were exactly. I heard of them before but never knew what they were. When I learned about it in school, they always just called it internet safety. I also never knew how important they were to learn about. Especially now with all the social media that is out now it is important to learn the proper way to act online.

The research I did on netiquette and digital citizenship has strengthened my viewpoint on the topics. This is because I did not realize the importance of teaching netiquette and digital citizenship in the classroom. I never realized there was so many dos and don’ts of them. Even if some of them seemed like common sense a lot of people still do the "don'ts" of netiquette and digital citizenship all the time. As a teacher it is important students know how to interact online. This is because I want my students to be kind and respectful when online and I don't want them to ever hurt someone by accident when they didn't know the rules.
