6. When he and his family came to america, he had to stop going to school and toward the end of the book for christmas, he got to go to night school and finally started to study again.
7. Quang isn't featured very much towards the end of the book.

7. He rides a motorcycle.

3. Khoi has always wanted his hen to have chicks, he used to try and make it happen. Eventually it did!!
4. While trying to get out of Vietnam, he had to leave his chick and hen behind. Little did everybody know he had brought the chick but it ended up getting crushed and died. Everybody noticed when it started to stink up the boat. He didn't want to let go but his sister, Kim Ha, showed empathy and gave up her doll and it encouraged him to let his chick go.
5. He wants to become a veterinarian. 
6. When Ha and Khoi go to school khoi ends up biking with her.
7. His bike broke towards the end of the book.

4. Pink Boy got into trouble and was forced to apologize to Ha and eventually made him want to fight Kim Ha, he also got his cousin to be mean to her.
